Corona Virus End Times Watch

Corona Virus 3/10/2020

I was thinking today on the Corona Virus (COVID-19). The virus which was first reported in Wuhan China in December 2019 has been determined to have a 14-day incubation period. That means, from the time of exposure to the time of symptoms, it takes 14 days.
As I spoke to my wife on the subject, I realized that if THE WHOLE WORLD put themselves on 14-day self-imposed quarantine, some would die, some would survive, but the disease in general would stop spreading. To make that happen, businesses (except critical or emergency services) would have to close. Businesses that could run with remote workers could continue to operate with limited staff and potential loss of service. While 2 weeks sounds like a long time to not work, the plan – with proper planning – actually could be done. The world could virtually “eliminate” corona virus in 2 weeks.
How do you do that? How do you get the whole world to prepare, then hunker down, for 2 weeks? How to people “get the message?” Why should they comply?
The bible discusses the time of the anti-christ as a near-future event. He will be a government leader, leading all governments. The United Nations has tried to become that entity, even labeling us as “Global Citizens” whereby the UN has desired to be the governing body of Global Citizens. If individuals recognized the UN as a governing body with the power of a governing body, if they had suggested a 2-week lockdown, it could have become world-wide marshal law. The UN doesn’t have that strong hold over the citizens of the world.
The anti-christ has to be a person, persuasive enough to affect individuals by common ideals, or by fear tactics. Someone with common ideals will follow the anit-christ because they want to. Someone who follows the anti-christ by fear would want to avoid beatings and jail time.
If the anti-christ, is given an opportunity to “rule the world” what should you expect? The answer: abusive power.
Daniel 11: 21 [He is] a vile person, to whom they will not give the honor of royalty; but he shall come in peaceably, and seize the kingdom by intrigue.
Suppose if this world leader said, “We are going to fight this together. Go into your homes for 14 days and if you’re not sick, you can return to work on the 15th day.” People will do it, and on day 15 he will look like a hero. There will be news agencies covering the “issue” (like coronavirus) and the government (anti-christ) response. People who don’t obey the quarantine order will be in the news, perhaps arrested, perhaps shot for non-compliance. He appears as a “good guy” and a “bad guy” at the same time. This is the deception of the anti-christ.
Places of worship will be shut down in response to mitigating large crowd gatherings. It's just the type of thing an anti-christ would do.
Why is this important?
Someone is going to fill this role. Someone is going to be the anti-christ in our lifetime. The corona virus becomes a “talking point,” that is, “fuel for the fire.” In hindsight they will say, “If we had a charismatic world leader, he could have brought unity to us.”

His Hebrew name, which is a number, 666 implies that this person may be elected into office. Elections require that people have to be convinced that this the ideals of the man are good thing in their life. Or, more correctly, he is a good thing. He has to look like the savior of the world, but my bible says, the world already has a Savior in Jesus Christ.
Once elected, we learn more:
Daniel 11:23-24 And after the league (agreement) is made with him he shall act deceitfully, … He shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places of the province [world] ; … and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds….
Answer these questions:
If a known killer came to your door, would you let him in peacefully?
If someone was devising plans against you, would you be his friend?
Would you vote for someone who wants to do you wrong?
This anti-christ is seeking only for himself, not for you. His payment system is “flattery."
By his flattery, you think you are wonderful in his eyes, but in reality, he doesn’t care about you at all. In flattery, you desire to be popular – even doing difficult things without payment. We see this on TV all the time (for those of you who watch these programs.) TV shows like “The Voice”, or “American Idol”, or “American Gladiator”, etc. all call for volunteers who will work for flattery and being well-known.
Let’s compare Jesus with the anti-christ on this one point. The anti-christ wants to be known and admired. Jesus wanted them to know His Father. Further Jesus was being coaxed (translate: tempted) by “his brothers” to become well known so “people would accept Him and His message.”
John 7: 4 [His brothers said, to tempt Jesus:] For no one does anything in secret while he himself seeks to be known openly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world."
Jesus in fact said, “But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.” – Matthew 6:6
Is corona virus a real threat? Yes. Is it going to kill everyone? No. Can it be contained? Yes.
Can the platform of “human ineffectiveness” be used as a “campaign slogan” by a politician who says, “The world would be better with a leader who can influence and save us from problems”? Yes, it can.
We don’t need corona virus, but we also don’t need an anti-christ. While we can’t stop what the Lord has said will come to pass, we can be astute and pray for more people to become aware of what the world means by “the greater good” and the price we would pay for an anti-christ government.

Some after thoughts:
3/11/2020
A few days ago before the market dove 2000 points, I had a thought to diligently move all my investments to cash. I did not, but there is a reason. I had a spirit-check in my heart. The question to me was, "Are you going to do this out of fear?"
Romans 14:23 ...for whatever is not from faith is sin.
Now that is quite a challenge. I needed to look within and ask, "Why."
Either God is my provider, or not. As Jesus reached the disciples in the boat He questioned them asking, "Where is your faith?"
Let me ask you, which is worse, the corona virus or losing equity in the market?
Psalms 126:5 Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.
Are you crying because people are dying without knowing Jesus is their salvation, or because you lost some money? Are you crying because someone got sick? Are you crying because you missed the opportunity to shop before all the hand-sanitizer was sold leaving the shelves empty? Are you mad at God for allowing this to happen? Check your heart. Why are you crying?
God is the provider. Jesus said we should look at His goodness of loving without partiality. He makes is rain on the good people, and the others. Is money the issue? Jesus called money "unrighteous." It is a tool to see if you are faithful, loving, and willing to share with others. What is your heart saying to you now?
It's okay to pray like this:
Jesus, forgive me. I don't know what I do that is wrong, but You do. Help me get right with you again. I'd love to share in your joy. I've had enough of the crying for the wrong things.
